How does the Element Cross Reference work?
Administrators can include responses previously recorded in other participant, entity, or general TouchPoints by adding an Element Cross Reference to any TouchPoint. The element will auto-populate with the response most recently recorded for the selected TouchPoint and TouchPoint element. If a new response is recorded after the current TouchPoint has been saved, the current TouchPoint will need to be resubmitted to be updated.
This element does not respect TouchPoint security, so, while the element does not show identifying information, there is a risk that users will see a response their security level does not typically allow. To mitigate this risk, there is a check box option to hide the element. Hidden elements will not be viewed by end users during data entry, but the data are present, and available for export when running TouchPoint reports.
